Job Title: Operators & Technical Operators.
Location: Forrest of Dean, Gloucestershire , Newport, Chepstow, Monmouth
Salary: Operators up to 30k basic plus a 6% bonus & Technical Operators up to 35k plus an 8% bonus
Shifts : Continental shift pattern : 2 day shifts : 6am – 6pm followed by 2 night shifts 6pm – 6am, followed by 4 days off. (Average 42 hours a week)

The Role
- Both Technical Operators and Operators report on shift directly to the Manufacturing Team Leader, working across the site within production and packaging areas
- You would be responsible for maximising the performance of the assets within the production area in relation to Safety, Quality and Delivery.
- During periods of downtime (Planned Maintenance and breakdowns) you will be required to provide support to the Engineers with their maintenance activities.
- Develop your skills through on-site training to have the flexibility to work with cross functional teams in any aspect of the packaging operation.
Your background
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades A-C in English, Mathematics and Science for both Operator & Technical Operator roles.
- Basic computer skills and willingness to embrace innovative technology.
- Good levels of dexterity and capability to perform manual handling operations.
- Right first-time attitude.
- Ability to work without direct supervision.
- Actively pursue involvement in Continuous Improvement projects and initiatives.
- Critical thinking skills
- Strong awareness of and commitment to customer service
- Willing to work shifts
