The challenge

Over the last three years, Jack & Bry’s popularity has exploded, and their growth isn’t likely to slow down anytime soon. The award-winning jackfruit innovators recently experienced a huge spike in customer requirements, but with rising demands comes greater challenges – one of the most prominent being a lack of talent.

Jack & Bry knew that if they wanted to meet the needs of their customers and foodservice partners, they had to increase the size of their team – fast. The problem was knowing how to do it – especially during a time when the talent pool is so dry. That’s where we came in.

 

The solution

After hearing about the work we’ve done with viral mochi ice cream brand Little Moons, Jack & Bry founders Jennifer Pardoe and Bryony Tinn-Disbury were keen to meet with us – and the feeling was mutual. Following our phone conversation, we sat down with them and developed a tailored recruitment proposal.

In our conversations, we agreed on a timeline for placing candidates to ensure they had enough people to support their development. Two weeks later, on 1st July 2021, we officially began working with them on their growing project. It’s only been a few months, but the results have been phenomenal.

The result

One month after we started working with Jack & Bry, we sourced and placed a talented product developer and a skilled NPD manager to coordinate their product development projects. They’ve since made a massive difference to the vegan range available. Soon after, we onboarded an R&D expert to guarantee continuous innovation.

This was shortly followed by a category insight manager, who worked with co-founder and CEO Bryony to win business with Pizza Express – a huge achievement for the growing company. In less than four months, Silven has successfully sourced and onboarded eight staff, and that number is only going to grow as time goes on.
