Are you an experienced Warehouse / Distribution Manager looking for a new challenge with a highly successful FMCG business a well-established and successful company?
This is a safety and service critical role with key responsibilities which include Supervisor leadership and development, Contractor control and permit issue, production planning, and providing cover for the Operations Manager.
Leadership and development of the Supervisors
Equipment and site services troubleshooting as escalated by Operatives and Supervisors
Depot Risk Assessments, safety investigations, and actions arising from Near Miss Reports.
Coordinating FLT servicing and repairs and being the contact for their service provider
The Candidate:
- Previous experience in warehouse operations management within FMCG or food industry
- Proven work experience as a warehouse manager with experience of managing a warehouse team
- Expertise on warehouse management procedures and best practice
- Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
- Strong knowledge of warehouse KPI’s
- Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and literacy skills, and highly numerate
- GCSE or equivalent as a minimum. A-Level/Degree preferred
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Good leadership skill
- Health and Safety qualification
