Are you looking for a new opportunity with an exciting business? My client is looking for a Transport Front Line Manager join their night shift leadership team to ensure safe delivery and collection of products to their customers.

The Role:

Reporting to the Transport Manager, the successful applicant will lead and manage a group of drivers and transport coordinators, ensuring delivery/collection of goods are in accordance with all legal and company requirements.

• Responsible for motivation, compliance, and performance of approximately 20 colleagues, setting clear goals to ensure all relevant KPI’s are met
• Ensure team is given clear directions for debrief meetings – consulting and engaging with all team members
• Execute continuous improvement actions plans
• Address any services issues promptly and escalate (where appropriate) as required
• Ensure optimal labour utilisation by making best use of the company’s scheduling system and labour flexibility
• Recruit, train and develop both drivers and transport coordinator’s that reflect the company values

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate for the role will be able to evidence:

• Previous experience in operational transport logistics within food/FMCG environment
• Leadership/managerial experience
• CPC qualified or motivation/ability to achieve qualification
• Previous experience working on night shift
• Comfortable working with SAP/warehouse management systems
• Great people management with a positive attitude

The Package:

• Salary c. £40,000
• 4 on 4 off shift pattern (6pm – 6am)
