Responsibilities:

• Develop new products and business initiatives, working in close association with the customer, as well as internal production and commercial departments.
• Conduct assessment of both internal and competitor products to define, and where necessary to improve, product performance characteristics.
• Work proactively with customers on the development of new products and/or technical solutions to meet customer needs and or/changing trends within the food, feed, and technical industries.
• Manage and maintain good relations with customers for the long term.
• Coordinate various reports, including financial and credit reporting.
• Communicate regularly with the commercial manager about sales and customer issues.
• Work as part of the commercial team to drive sales and profits.

Ideal Candidate:

• Technical knowledge of the bakery/food manufacturing industry, including plant bakery knowledge.
• Good understanding of Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• A minimum of bachelor’s degree or equivalent in either business studies, food technology, or a similar related subject.
• Working knowledge of SAP.
