Technical Manager – Food Manufacturing

Are you a Technical or Quality Manager thinking about your next leadership role in the food industry? We’re working with an established food business who are looking for a Technical Manager join their senior team and play a key role in driving standards across the site.

 

About the Role:

Reporting to the Site Director, you will lead and develop the site’s Technical team, working to drive best practice and ensure the site adopts and maintains a proactive approach to food safety and quality.

 

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, coaching and mentoring your team, providing ‘hands on’ leadership to 4 direct reports and their teams.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with colleagues across the business to drive standards and collaboration.
  • Leading HACCP compliance, internal audits, and supplier approvals and management.
  • Ensuring site compliance to BRC standards and retail codes of practice, being the ‘go to’ person for audits and site visits.
  • Driving continuous improvement and taking a proactive approach to handling and resolving customer complaints.

 

About You:

  • Experience of leading & developing technical, quality, and hygiene teams in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Collaborative approach, able to develop strong working relationships with colleagues and customers at all levels.
  • Experience of chilled/high-care foods, particularly listeria management.
  • Demonstrable experience of leading sites through BRC and retail audits.
  • Strong leadership skills, able to motivate and develop teams.
