About the Role
As the sole engineer on-site, you will take charge of the engineering department, reporting directly to the Site Manager. This is a hands-on position where you’ll be actively involved on the factory floor, ensuring smooth production processes and addressing technical challenges as they arise, as well as ensuring all back-office functions are fulfilled appropriately.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve the site’s engineering functions, taking full ownership of machinery, systems, and maintenance.
- Collaborate closely with production teams to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, safety, and reliability.
- Respond to and resolve technical issues promptly, ensuring continuity of production.
About You
- Previous experience in engineering within a manufacturing environment is essential; a background in food manufacturing is highly desirable.
- Hands-on expertise with factory machinery and a proactive problem-solving approach.
- Comfortable working independently, managing your own time, and making critical decisions.
- Strong communication skills, able to liaise effectively with production and site management.
What’s on Offer
- Competitive salary reflective of your expertise and contribution.
- A rare opportunity to shape and lead the engineering function with full autonomy.
- A supportive working environment with clear communication lines to the Site Manager.
