The Role:
Reporting to the Head of Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the implementation of strategic plans for the despatch function:
- Develop continuous improvement strategies to suit D2D needs and uplift current processes aligning with the company’s 3-year business plan
- Peak management of multi-site chilled environment operating 24/7
- Utilisation of software to manage stock data, creating daily efficiency reports and share action plans for targeted improvement
- Accountable for departmental costs and assess areas for improvement
- Ensure contracts and maintenance of fleet are meeting the needs of the business
- Manage and report despatch function performance
- Maintaining high health and safety standards and ensuring compliance with legislation
The Candidate:
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Despatch Manager within a food / FMCG environment or similar
- Track record of developing and implementing continuous improvement strategies into the despatch function
- Experienced leader and manager
- Positive and driven attitude
The Package:
- Salary c. £40,000 – £45,000
- Monday to Friday (some flexibility required)
- Paid overtime
- Pool car available to accommodate travel to other sites
