The Role:

Reporting to the Head of Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the implementation of strategic plans for the despatch function:

• Develop continuous improvement strategies to suit D2D needs and uplift current processes aligning with the company’s 3-year business plan
• Peak management of multi-site chilled environment operating 24/7
• Utilisation of software to manage stock data, creating daily efficiency reports and share action plans for targeted improvement
• Accountable for departmental costs and assess areas for improvement
• Ensure contracts and maintenance of fleet are meeting the needs of the business
• Manage and report despatch function performance
• Maintaining high health and safety standards and ensuring compliance with legislation

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Despatch Manager within a food / FMCG environment or similar
• Track record of developing and implementing continuous improvement strategies into the despatch function
• Experienced leader and manager
• Positive and driven attitude

The Package:

• Salary c. £40,000 – £45,000
• Monday to Friday (some flexibility required)
• Paid overtime
• Pool car available to accommodate travel to other sites
