Raw Material Technologist – 100% remote (if you want!)
Raw Material Technologist
£37500 a year
Home based with time onsite if you want
If you’d like the opportunity to work for a global business, on a 100% remote basis, with a line manager who genuinely promotes work life balance, with a great training budget and team culture which promotes laughter and enjoyment – have a read.
If that sounds awful, don’t.
What you’ll get
- 100% remote working with the option to work from a site if you’d like – so work can work for you.
- Line manager who actively promotes his team’s work life balance – so you can have more time with your family doing what’s important to you.
- Fantastic training and development – so you can improve your long term prospects while doing a job you enjoy.
- The chance to work for a company pushing for a billion turnover in the next five years, working on a huge variety of products.
- A team who prize having a laugh.
What you’ll need
- You’ve worked in specifications and supplier assurance for a number of years (though we’re good if that number is, say, two or three!).
- A positive attitude. I mean, it’s hard to quantify, but its also key. If people cross the street to avoid you, probably not right. You don’t need to be a hugger but it’d be good if you enjoy smiling and laughing.
- You’ve worked on raw material specifications, packaging specifications and supplier assurance.
What the job actually is
The business has a bunch of manufacturing sites. One which has been relatively recently acquired needs integrating. There are suppliers who need risk assessments doing. Quite a lot of them.
You’ll probably set up and attend regular meetings with key stakeholders (but via teams is fine!). It means you’ll have a good handle on what needs doing, the progress that is being made.
You’ll be doing specifications for various raw materials.
If you want to progress, there are opportunities at home and abroad. People move around within the business regularly, so you can spread your wings from a career perspective.
This next year is focussed on getting the acquired site to where it needs to be. There’s work to be done, but it’s in hand. There’s a plan. You’re going to be important in helping deliver that plan.
Oh, and on the personal time bit?
If you’re working more hours than you get paid for, you’re likely to be asked not to. It isn’t your job to wo work more hours than you get paid for.
I probably don’t need to tell you that isn’t necessarily the norm in the modern world of work!
