Role Overview:
As a Quality Manager, you will play a pivotal role in upholding the business reputation for producing safe and superior food products. Your primary responsibility will be to manage and enhance quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with industry regulations and customer expectations. You will oversee the implementation of best practices, lead BRC audits, and collaborate cross-functionally to continuously improve our quality management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and mentor a small team of quality control professionals to ensure consistent quality standards are met.
- Develop and maintain robust quality management systems that adhere to BRC requirements and other relevant industry standards.
- Coordinate and conduct internal audits to identify potential areas of improvement and address any non-conformities.
- Plan, execute, and evaluate BRC audits, maintaining our reputation as a company with outstanding food safety practices.
- Collaborate closely with production, operations, and R&D teams to resolve quality-related issues and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality and safety, analyzing data to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay current with industry trends and regulations, proactively recommending updates to our quality processes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven track record in quality management within the food manufacturing industry.
- Extensive experience with BRC audits and thorough knowledge of BRC standards.
- Strong understanding of HACCP principles and other relevant food safety management systems.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive data-driven decisions.
- A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
