Are you looking for a new challenge in Quality Assurance? Do you want to join a well-established food manufacturer with exciting plans for growth? Located in the beautiful, scenic area of Northern Scotland, my client is looking for a new QA Manager to join their small technical team.

 The Role

Reporting to the Site Technical and NPD Manager, the key objective of the role is to adopt accountability for specific manufacturing plant, ensuring delivery of all site Technical initiatives.

• Develop and maintain strong leadership across the Quality function, ensuring a well-structured and motivated team is in place
• Implement and manage compliance standards and HACCP procedures across the site
• Maintenance of HACCP system through continuous revamping and good communication across the site
• Develop and conduct training to optimise knowledge and engagement with Food Safety Culture strategy
• Accountable for product release and quarantine process
• Own the non-conformance process by leading investigations and root cause analysis
• Ensure all internal audits and traceability exercises are completed effectively in line with retailer and site certification requirements

The Candidate

The successful candidate will:

• Degree level educated in a Food or Science related discipline or minimum 10 years’ experience in Technical/Quality Assurance food manufacturing role
• 5 years’ experience within Food Manufacturing Industry within Technical/Quality Assurance function
• Food Safety level 3
• HACCP level 3
• Lead Auditor Trained (preferred)
• Experienced in team management
• Knowledge and experience of major retailer manufacturing standards (advantageous)

The Package

• Salary c. £45,000
• Relocation package available
• Monday – Friday
