Role: Production Shift Manager

Where: Powys Area

Salary: £38k – £40k

I’m looking for an experienced Production Manager.

The Shift Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day production processes within the factory, leading and managing the team to ensure that all targets are met and exceeded in terms of quality, cost and delivery performance.

The Shift Manager will be expected to:

• Oversee the day-to-day production processes and the shift team (approx. 40 people)
• Lead and manage the team to ensure all key performance indicators are met
• Ensure all production processes are carried out in accordance with the standard operating procedures
• Optimize production processes in line with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
• Monitor and control the production process to ensure that all deadlines are met
• Effectively manage, motivate, and develop the team
• Ensure that all production records are accurately maintained
• Resolve any issues and liaise with other departments as necessary
• Monitor and promote a safe working environment
• Support the Factory Manager in the implementation of any new initiatives
• Manage any other duties as required

• Pitman shift (2 on 2 off, 3 on 2 off, 2 on 3 off). (average of 42 hours per week)
• 6am – 6pm
• Annual leave – 22 days (pro rata from the std 25 + 8bh due to it being 12 hours shifts)
• 4% contributory pension (after a qualifying period)
