Summary
The successful candidate will lead the Production Team to ensure production is carried out to the highest standard and according to the production plan.
The First 6-9 Months
- 80% shop floor based
- The successful candidate will be on the line, working with the Production Workers to understand their roles, making the product and gaining a full understanding of the whole process from start to finish
The Role
- Manage the production team in the preparation of goods according to the production plan and maintain the highest quality
- Breakdown monthly production targets in to weekly plans whilst liaising with the Fulfilment and Packaging Lead and Office Manager to ensure stock needs are met
- Implement all operational policies and procedures, including Food Safety systems, health and safety guidelines, etc
- To manage the production team including giving regular feedback, formal appraisals, approving holidays and coordinating the holiday schedule
- To train new members of the Production Team and lead in a positive, inclusive and effective manner
The Candidate
- Experience within the food manufacturing industry is essential preferably working with High Risk categories
- Hands on and has a presence on the factory floor with the rest of the team
- Food Safety & HACCP is advantageous
- Experience managing a team of people and getting involved with training
- Passionate, driven and inspiring
- Knowledge and experience within Quality
- Proven experience implementing systems and processes within a business
