We’re partnering with an established food business in Kent, currently going through a period of sustained growth. They have a great reputation for the quality of their products and the service levels they provide to their customers, and they’re now looking for a Production Manager who can play a key role in their ongoing success.

 

About the Role:

This is a new role in the business, and you will be working closely with the Operations Manager to drive a safe working environment with a positive approach to food safety and customer service.

 

It’s a ‘hands on’ leadership role and some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, developing, and mentoring a team of 4 direct reports, working with them to improve their skills and become more effective leaders of their teams.
  • Proactively looking for new, more effective ways of working to improve efficiencies and improve customer service levels.
  • Positively influencing change, with a strong emphasis on product quality, hygiene standards and health & safety.
  • Ensuring all departmental targets and KPIs are achieved.

 

About You:

Key to success in this role, is a positive mindset and we’re keen to hear from anybody with the following background and skills:

 

  • Experience of leading and developing teams in a food, drink, or FMCG manufacturing environment.
  • A continuous improvement mindset, with a proactive approach to identifying and delivering improvements.
  • Results focused with effective people leadership skills, able to enthuse others and take them with you to achieve targets and objectives.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety (IOSH qualification would be ideal, but is not essential) with practical experience of raising standards.
