We’re working with a food business which is looking for a Planning Manager who can lead the team, work collaboratively across departments, and enhance processes at their state-of-the-art manufacturing site.

About the Role:

As Planning Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operational performance of the site through effective planning and forecasting. Reporting to the Site Director, some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Developing effective, robust production schedules to ensure orders are fulfilled on time.
• Translating customer forecasts into clear, actionable demand plans.
• Overseeing inventory levels, working closely with procurement to maintain stock availability.
• Identifying opportunities to improve planning processes and drive efficiencies.
• Leading and developing the planning team, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Working closely with colleagues in production, logistics, and commercial teams to align planning with business objectives.

About You:

• Planning or Supply Chain leadership experience gained in food manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge and experience of production and supply chain operations.
• Experience of using databases, inventory, and planning and manufacturing software (ideally SAP).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, able to work well and influence colleagues at all levels.
• A proactive and analytical mindset, with an ability to juggle a busy workload and solve problems.
