I’m reaching out as I’m recruiting an NPD Manager position and wondered if you’d be interested?
It’s with a company who make an iconic product, you’ve for sure seen them. I’m a big fan.
AND it’s branded, so no retailers popping up to question everything and put a bunch of extra red tape in the way.
The NPD team is super small (just you), so you’ve got to have covered NPD from concept to launch and be confident with each stage. The larger team are LOVELY and everyone helps each other out, so there’d be loads of support.
People stick around here for a long time. They have someone on site who’s been with them 48 years!! Imagine loving where you work so much that you stay for 48 years…
If you’re hoping to handspring into your new role at a chocolate factory and make chewing gum that tastes like a three-course meal so good that you can really feel the tomato soup running down your throat, then it’s likely not for you.
The product is classic. It’s a household name. You don’t mess with perfection… too much.
Saying that, they have just released an entirely new line, it’s doing really well and they’re loving it.
If you’re comfy with EPD rather than NPD, and want to make things better incrementally, maybe you’d love it.
The site is old. There’s no getting away from that. They have recently been bought though, and now have the investment to make improvements (and they are). So it won’t be this way forever. And hey – if you’re sticking about for 48 years, I’m sure you’ll see many iterations. Maybe by then we’ll be eating hologram versions of their product and photosynthesising. Or eating bugs. Who knows!
If you’re a tiny bit interested, I’d love to have a chat with you. It’s much easier to get a feel for things over the phone. No pressure at all to apply!
Looking forward to hearing from you!
