National Sales and Account Manager – Grocery & High St Retail 

Location: London

Salary: £45-65k DOE

Are you a dynamic individual with a knack for sales, ready to take on a challenging yet rewarding role with an up-and-coming brand? My client is on the lookout for a passionate and motivated National Sales and Account Manager to drive growth for brands across grocery and high street retail.

 

Key Responsibilities:

New Business Accounts within High St Retail:

  • Win new high street retail accounts and additional business across other channels.
  • Build strong relationships with distributing partners and buyers.
  • Negotiate commercials and in-store plans with buyers to drive profitable growth.

Existing Grocery & High St Retail Accounts:

  • Be the key point of contact for grocery and high street retail accounts.
  • Manage sales accounts, ensuring turnover and profit targets are met.
  • Collaborate with the team to enhance relationships with buyers and distributing partners.
  • Develop joint business plans, execute NPD launches, and manage promotional activities.

General Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with marketing for in-store activations and sampling activities.
  • Contribute to forecasting and budgeting cycles.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance and KPIs.
  • Organize sales meetings, develop pitch decks, and draft compelling commercial proposals.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • 2-3 years of sales and account management experience in a start-up/challenger brand.
  • Proven track record of securing new business and managing accounts in grocery and high street retail.
  • Can-do attitude, pro-active self-starter, highly organized, and detail oriented.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a small team, willing to go the extra mile.

 

Essential Experience:

Minimum of 2-3 years sales and account management experience within grocery and high street retail for a food and drink company (preferably start-up).

 

Package:

  • Competitive base salary.
  • Salary reviews every 6 months.
  • Potential cash bonuses based on performance.
  • Hybrid work model: 5 days a week in a central location or WFH.
