Overview

This is an opportunity to join a major UK food manufacturer. With sites across the country, they are currently growing through acquisition.

As National Account Manager for one of their major retail customers, you will cultivate enduring, trust-based relationships and actively pursue fresh sales opportunities.

The Role

• Act as the primary point of contact for all customer account management matters.
• Establish and nurture strong, enduring customer relationships.
• Negotiate contracts and finalize agreements to optimize profitability.
• Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders, and executive sponsors.
• Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions based on customer needs and objectives.
• Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify areas for business growth within existing client relationships and work towards meeting sales quotas.
• Forecast and track key account metrics, including quarterly sales results and annual forecasts.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on account status.
• Collaborate with the sales team to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities.
• Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed.

The Candidate

• Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Junior Account Manager, or relevant role.
• Food or other FMCG experience.
