Hygiene Manager – Food Manufacturing

South Wales – Multi-site

£44,000 – £50,000 + flexible working

Day-based role | Senior Management Level

Are you an experienced hygiene professional looking for your next challenge—without the night shifts?

We’re working with a well-established food manufacturer with two sites in South Wales who are looking for a hands-on Hygiene Manager to join their senior team. This is a multi-site role where you’ll take the lead on all hygiene operations across both factories. You’ll be joining a company that truly values high standards but keeps things practical and down-to-earth.

What’s in it for you?

  • Day shifts only – enjoy your evenings again
  • Flexible start/finish times to suit your life
  • Senior leadership role – sit alongside the technical managers on the site leadership team
  • Autonomy – you’ll shape how hygiene is run and bring your ideas to life
  • Small, tight-knit team – no red tape, and real support from the technical team
  • Stability – long-standing business with solid processes and good people

The Role

This is a practical, on-the-floor hygiene leadership role. You’ll manage a small team of hygiene supervisors, operatives, and cleaners across both sites. Your focus will be on:

  • Running the hygiene function day-to-day
  • Making sure schedules are followed
  • Overseeing pest control, laundry, chemicals, and cleaning routines
  • Managing budget areas related to hygiene
  • Working closely with Technical and Ops to ensure the site is audit-ready
  • Being present, visible, and approachable for the team

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in hygiene within food manufacturing is essential
  • You might be in a hygiene supervisor or coordinator role now, ready to step up
  • You don’t need a degree—just the confidence, drive, and a good understanding of hygiene best practices
  • Someone who can communicate well, work across teams, and take ownership
  • Must have a driving license and car – you’ll be working across two nearby sites
  • Based within reasonable commuting distance of South Wales
