HSE Manager, Cheshire

We’re partnering with an established food manufacturer who are looking for an experienced Health, Safety & Environment Manager to join their leadership team,
This is a key role where you’ll be the ‘go to’ person for all HSE matters and driving engagement, compliance, and behavioural change across a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
About the Role
Reporting to the Site Director, you’ll be developing and implementing strategy while maintaining a ‘hands on’ presence across the site. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Proactively championing a positive HSE culture through coaching, promoting behavioural safety, and maintaining a strong day-to-day presence in manufacturing areas.
- Collaborating with colleagues at all levels to improve safety systems, implement initiatives and support ongoing compliance.
- Leading site projects and supporting the implementation of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Ensuring legal compliance, leading audits, conducting risk assessments, and managing environmental responsibilities.
- Supporting training, inductions, and HSE development activities.
About You
A background in Food, Drink, or FMCG manufacturing would be ideal, but we’re keen to hear from any HSE professionals with the following skills and experience:
- Strong track record in improving HSE standards in a manufacturing environment.
- Proactive approach to identifying and implementing HSE improvements.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to influence and work closely with colleagues at all levels.
- Knowledge of ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 standards and compliance.
- Preferably hold NEBOSH Diploma and a relevant IEMA qualification.
