Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 (depending on experience)

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and lead the hygiene department, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage and provide guidance to a team of operatives, supervisors, and hygiene managers.
• Implement and enforce robust hygiene protocols in line with industry standards and best practices.
• Utilize your expertise in high care/high risk environments to identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain HACCP-based food safety plans.
• Conduct regular inspections, audits, and reviews to drive continuous improvement and ensure adherence to hygiene standards.
• Stay updated with industry developments, regulations, and emerging hygiene trends.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Hygiene Manager in the food industry, specifically in high care/high risk environments.
• Strong leadership skills with a successful track record in managing teams and fostering a positive working environment.
• HACCP level 3 certification, showcasing your comprehensive understanding of food safety and hygiene protocols.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, industry standards, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
