We’re working with a successful food manufacturer in the north-west. Part of a wider group, they’re continuing to invest heavily in their site and need an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver a wide range of engineering projects.

About the Role

This is a busy, challenging role offering plenty of variety. The business is in good shape – they’re profitable, produce great products, and have a long-term project plan in place.

You’ll be leading and delivering projects of all shapes and sizes, from relatively small upgrades through to major Capex initiatives.  There’s a strong, supportive team in place and some of things you’ll be doing will include:

  • Leading the full lifecycle of capital projects, from initial conception through to planning, budgeting, commissioning and handover.
  • Ensuring projects are delivered on time and budget, and meet the operational needs of the business.
  • Identifying areas for improvement and supporting CI initiatives.
  • Working collaboratively with key stakeholders in Operations, NPD, Technical, and Engineering.
  • Ensuring all work is carried out safely.

About You

We’re looking for someone with a strong track record in successfully delivering a range of engineering projects in a food or FMCG manufacturing environment.

  • At least 3-5 years’ experience of project management experience.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of CDM regulations and health & safety in an engineering or construction setting.
  • Able to manage large budgets, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time.
  • Proactive, results focused mindset, able to manage a busy workload in a fast-paced, complex environment.
  • Relevant project management qualification (APM, PRINCE2) would be ideal but is not essential.
