Job Title: Development Chef

Location: Greater Manchester

Salary: £35-40K

The Role:

• Develop new products from concept through to launch, ensuring that all new ingredients are factory feasible, and samples are created with customer briefs in mind.
• Help to formulate and cost recipes within agreed timescales which meet legal and product requirements whilst remaining factory feasible.
• Compile NPD product specifications for each sample being sent out for customers to review.
• Monitor trends, innovations and technological advances in the food industry and apply these changes to new product development.
• Use a clear set out customer development brief, working alongside the directors and sales team in regard to product, packaging, and timescale requirements along with costings in mind throughout.

The Candidate:

• A minimum of 1 years’ experience within an NPD department completing recipe development and costings management.
• A degree/HNC in food science or a related subject is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with customers as well as other staff members within the team.
• Computer literate with knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and passion for food.
