The Role:

Reporting to the head of Engineering Projects, the key objective of the role is to lead a team to support their operational automation program, ensuring the engineering design is robust and reliable.

• Organise automation, electrical, and PLC design projects through identification of short-term and long-term opportunities
• Manage and develop two direct reports (one on each site managed) to deliver automation and control strategy
• Troubleshooting and analysis of breakdowns/processing issues and recommend corrective actions
• Maintain stakeholder communication
• Train and develop operational engineering teams in process fault-finding (PLC’s and control systems)

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will have evidence of:

• Designing, programming, and implementing control systems – PLC’s, HMI’s, AC Drives and Servo Controls
• Degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent
• City and Guilds 18^th edition
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Track record of completing projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
