Assistant Technical Manager
Location: North London
Salary: Circa £40k
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, flexible working available

What You’ll Do:

  • Support Quality Control: Assist in maintaining strict quality controls and ensuring compliance with industry standards, HACCP, and customer requirements.
  • Audit Preparation: Help prepare for various audits, including BRC and organic certifications, ensuring all processes are audit-ready.
  • Monitor Production: Oversee traceability, product tests, weight control, and consistency across production.
  • Drive Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in processes and product quality, working with teams to implement solutions.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with Quality Assurance, Production, and Engineering teams, supporting New Product Development (NPD) trials and ensuring site operations run smoothly.

 

What You Bring:
You have experience in food manufacturing, ideally in bakery. A solid understanding of HACCP and at least Level 2 Food Safety certification are required. A forklift license and experience in health and safety are beneficial. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a hands-on approach will help you succeed in this role.
