The Opportunity

Retail Technical Manager

c 50K



We are currently recruiting for a Retail Technical Manager who can manage key business accounts and work cross functionally to ensure all standards meet or exceed specifications agreed with clients.  You will be the sole point of contact for some major UK retailer accounts for all things technical, quality and safety on site




To be the main point of contact between the business and multiple major retailer customers


Main Responsibilities


  • To maintain and improve working relationships with retailers. Working closely with commercial and marketing to achieve this
  • To maintain suppliers of technical services such as Co-Pack and consumer complaints management
  • Coordinate technical activities ensuring products are manufactured against agreed specs
  • Provide customers with advices on strategy and technical matters
  • Represent the business in benchmarking exercises
  • Lead technical meetings
  • Ensure site complies with retail codes of practice
  • Develop joint business direction between retailers and the business
  • Deliver against KPI’s
  • Customer facing on all technical issues
  • Deliver retail reports and push for CI
  • Develop robust corrective action where necessary
  • Communicate non-conformances and corrective action required to customers after audits
  • Drive technical and quality culture on site
  • Ensure corrective measures are implemented
  • Oversee technical elements of new product launches
  • Lead technical aspects of customer projects
  • Reporting documentation where required
  • Ensuring compliance with group policy
  • Provide technical support during new business integration




  • Degree qualified or relavent experience
  • Several years in simialry or senior technical role (FMCG or retail)
  • Ability to relationship build
