Due to significant growth, an established food manufacturer in the West Midlands is seeking an Engineering Manager to join their team. They supply their products to some of the biggest retailers. Their turnover is growing, and they are investing a lot to more projects to grow and improve their functioning.

As a Site Engineering Manager, you’ll lead and develop a highly performing team of engineering experts in line with the company’s strategic plan and corporate values, whilst maintaining a zero-harm culture.
You will take a lead on Health, Safety and Continuous Improvement, ensuring these are embedded within the engineering team and wider site. On daily basis, your role will include people management, creating planned and preventive maintenance plans, working on capital projects, and will be very CI focused.
In long term, you will work on delivering capital projects in line with the site 5 to 10 year plan. You’ll manage overall allocation of maintenance resources, and ensure Senior Site Engineer organises daily compliance and other routines. Finally, in the absence of General Manager, you will be the senior manager on site.

· FMCG / Manufacturing
· Lean Manufacturing / CI
To be successful, you will have Engineering Management experience background. Previous exposure to FMCG / Manufacturing environment is essential, and you will enjoy leading and developing teams. To be outstanding in this role, you will need strong people management skills, and be a real team player.
In this role, you’ll need strong understanding of H&S legislations (IOSH/NEBOSH qualifications would be ideal), as the site is strong on making sure the environment is the safest it can be. You will have a high understanding of asset management, PPM systems, creation of PM’s and experience in carrying out risk assessments.
Previous experience of managing budgets, lean manufacturing and CI techniques is essential. Finally, you will have excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.
