Quality Assurance Supervisor – Food Manufacturing
Location: West Yorkshire
Salary: £25-30k
As a Quality Assurance Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that systems and procedures meet the highest quality standards, legal requirements, and customer expectations. Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will collaborate with various departments, ensuring food safety and quality at every stage.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with different departments on food quality and safety matters
- Implement and maintain HACCP and food safety procedures
- Conduct internal audits
- Perform sampling and testing activities
- Monitor Critical Control Points (CCPs)
- Ensure finished product quality
- Manage hygiene, housekeeping, traceability, and allergen management
- Conduct investigations on quality issues
- Maintain QAS documentation
- Provide support during audits and customer visits
- Continuously improve and drive the site’s quality performance
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in food manufacturing
- Qualification in Food Technology (desirable but not essential)
- HACCP Level 2 certification
- Level 2 Food Safety certification
- Internal auditing experience is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent communication skills
